Canby Junior Basketball

If you are registering more than one player in your family, you will receive a $25 discount on the 2nd (3rd + all additional children) registration fee.  In order for the registration system to recognize that you are registering multiple players, please register all of your players at this time.  On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your players are registered within the same order.

Competitive League – Boys and Girls 4th – 8th Grade

Canby Junior Basketball will depart from league play going forward based on member & board feedback and adopt a tournament only model for competitive programs this season. This typically will mean 2 games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Teams will be expected to participate in approximately 12 weekend tournaments (not including State) during the 16-week regular season. This means that nearly all weekends during the season will be consumed with basketball. There will be no weekday games this season.

Along with a few games in Canby, most competitions will take place in the Portland metro & Salem area. The only locations that would require overnight lodging would be the Seaside tournament if your team elects to play, and the state championships in Central Oregon if qualified.

All weekend tournaments will require spectator admission for both days. This varies from $5 - $10 per person depending on the program hosting the tournament.

Fees for the competitive program are $400 which include uniform. Uniform credit of $40 for re-using last year’s game jersey and $20 for re-using last year’s game shorts can be applied to your account in December. We will collect your jersey info at evaluations.

For participants that register for competitive and do not make a competitive team, they will be placed in rec and account credited accordingly.

Rec League – Boys 5th & 6th Grade,  Girls 3rd – 6th Grade

Rec league for these grades will still be participating in the Willamette Valley Developmental League. Due to an increase in operating costs, fees for this program are $195. Uniform credit of $40 for re-using last year’s game jersey and $20 for re-using last year’s game shorts can be applied to your account in December. We will collect your jersey info at evaluations.

Rec League – Boys and Girls 7th/8th Grade

We will now offer a rec option for both boys and girls 7th & 8th graders. We will be partnering with Wilsonville, West Linn, Tualatin & Sherwood in this league. A regular season of 10-12 games will be played on Saturdays at each of these locations, including Canby with a culminating end of season tournament. Weekday evening practices will be held in Canby area schools. Fees for this program are $195. Uniform credit of $40 for re-using last year’s game jersey and $20 for re-using last year’s game shorts can be applied to your account in December. We will collect your jersey info at evaluations.

• Canby Junior Basketball will honor full refunds less service charges up until your child's evaluation day.

• Canby Junior Basketball will honor refunds if our program as a whole is cancelled or shut down due to OHA/ODE/CSD directives which exceed one month in continuous duration. We will not offer refunds if teams or players miss games or practices due to quarantine or illness during an active season.

• In the event of a cancelled season, your total refund will be your registration fee less service charges and less uniform cost. This refund will be pro-rated upon shutdown/cancellation of the season. If we’re only able to play ¼ of a season, ¾ of the registration fee will be refunded after service charges and uniform cost is decremented.
